Job Description For Xoriant Careers 2024
- Responsible for managing, and tuning high-availability 24×7 Mongodb databases
- Develop, manage, and test database backup & recovery strategies, verifying data integrity
- Perform database installations, configurations, upgrades, and migrations
- Proactively monitor and tune for performance
- Define and implement database schema and configurations Create and maintain documentation of procedures, schemas and guides for troubleshooting database systems
- Audit for data integrity and consistency across systems
- Work with data-warehousing and Business Intelligence tools
- Establish policies and procedures pertaining to data management, security, access control policies, maintenance and utilization
- Managing the company’s private cloud computing environment by monitoring usage, updating software, and troubleshooting issues
- Monitoring usage of computing resources such as CPU usage, memory consumption, storage capacity, and network bandwidth utilization to ensure that the cloud environment is performing efficiently
- Performing routine tasks such as updating software packages, patching operating systems, and backing up data on virtual machines
- Work closely with the development team to analyse and find root cause of failures
- Be self-driven and own the packet of deliverables and should be able to co-ordinate with global team
- Plan out the task and report on daily and weekly status
Required Skills (Must Have):
- Knowledge of DevOps and Implementing CI/CD pipelines on AWS
- Experienced in AWS Native Services who can independently manage VPC, Subnets, IAM, EC2, S3, Cloud Watch, CloudTrail, Transit Gateways, etc
- Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and caching
- Expertise in analyzing and repairing large-scale distributed systems; creating volumes and assigning them to servers; and remote replication
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
- Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Strong in Linux OS
- Basic concept of Virtualization and File Servers
- Strong knowledge of GIT, Jenkins and Gerrit and should have been used before
- Flexible in overlapping with USA time zone for meetings and clarifications
- Strong communication skills
