Job Description For Software AG Recruitment 2024
The Cloud Operations Engineer role offers an opportunity to be at the forefront of cloud technology, working with state-of-the-art tools like Terraform and Helm, contributing to the stability and scalability of our services, and being part of a dynamic and supportive team. You’ll have the chance to make a real impact on our mission to simplify the connected world and help organizations become truly connected enterprises.
- Deployment, management, and monitoring of infrastructure and services
- Creating and maintaining CD pipelines
- Handling incidents 24/7 (on-call)
- Onboarding of new customers and environments
- Performance monitoring and optimization
- Conducting fire drills and documenting disaster recovery procedures
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar education or working experience
- Proficiency in Linux administration and Bash scripting
- Exposure to at least one Cloud platform like AWS or Azure
- Experience with Configuration & Infrastructure management tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef
- Ability to take over on-call duties
- Good vocal and written communication skills in English
Nice to Haves:
- Analytical mindset and troubleshooting skills
- Exposure to Git, GitOps
- Experience in managing SaaS / PaaS
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestrators like Kubernetes
- Knowledge of networking and database fundamentals
- Self-starter mentality
- DevOps experience
- Active Directory configuration knowledge
