Job Description
We are seeking candidates with a strong background in mathematics who will work as a self-starter, are motivated and will bring enthusiasm to the team, contributing to its success. This position will focus on APL development. You will be working on functional delivery in the Wealth Platform, and client delivery.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Follows standard practices and procedures to analyze, design, program, debug, modify and implement software systems. Directed in studies of potential technology applications and preparing of design proposals. Competent to work on most phases of software systems, but requires instruction and guidance in other phases.
- Builds, modifies, reviews and analyzes software systems through code development, testing, debugging and documentation.
- Provides production support (on-call) for existing software within the areas covered by the role.
- Prepares technical documentation.
- Conducts unit & integration testing.
- Researches problems discovered by QA or product support and develop solutions to the problems.
- Works with peers to conduct code reviews across the team and help foster a productive work environment.
- Performs straightforward product design, systems analysis and programming activities.
- All other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics.
- Experience in software systems development.
- A background in the financial industry (specifically within the managed accounts business).
- Experience with source code version control and software configuration management.
- Demonstrated proficiency in working with extract file formats such as XML, flat files, CSV.
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL and/or Oracle.
- Working knowledge of MATLAB, APL.
